On Friday last week people going up and down from Rambla could stop for a free cup of hot chocolate and a piece of cake (“melindros” are small long pastry minicakes that we usually eat with hot chocolate, they almost always go together). It was a present of El Cafè de l’Òpera, a classical cafe placed in La Rambla, just in front of Liceu, Barcelona’s Opera House. The reason of such a present was that Rambla’s anual celebration, the Festa Major.
